Pipers foster mom reports that Piper has impeccable canine manners: shes housetrained, doesnt chew anything up when left in the house during the day, never barks, and is a model doggie on her leash. And how this sweet girl loves her walksshe just lights up when you pull out the leash. Pipers temporary family is just tickled by how well Piper gets along with their dogyou wouldnt believe the long play sessions these two have! The resident cats are, of coarse, a little less excited by Pipers presence, but with a few gentle reminders, Piper has quickly learned to give them their space. Shes a very smart dog! As a year old dog youd think Pipers exercise needs would be considerable, but she seems perfectly satisfied with a nice walk or two each day and maybe a little play time with her people. The rest of her day typically consists of stretching out on the couch to take a nice long nap and then maybe some cuddle time with her family. Her mellow disposition is perfect for the laid back family. Because this sweet gal probably had a tough puppyhood, strangers -- especially men -- seem to scare her. Though Piper is really beginning to come out of her shell and trust again. Piper would do best in a quiet home where she was welcome to be inside and share time with her family. Being a younger dog, a home with older children would be the most suitable placement for Piper. This perfectly healthy, spayed cutie is ready to go home with her forever family. We cant even imagine how devoted and appreciative shell be to the person who takes her home and gives her the companionship and love she craves.
