American Staffordshire Terrier - Medium - Young - Female - Dog -
Description
China is a beautiful red and white American Staffordshire. China is about 3 yrs old and 55lbs. She walks nicely on leash, is crate trained, seems housetrained, is playful with other dogs and currently is being fostered where she gets to run and play with about 20 dogs at a time. China needs good exercise and a good pack leader to allow her to continue to be such a good girl. Before meeting any of our fosters YOU MUST FILL OUT the APPLICATION questionsfound on our other websitewww.dogrescuenetwork.orgIf a dog is shown on our site, then it is still available. They are taken off the site immediately upon adoption. We are located in Atascadero. 2 hrs north of Santa Barbara,CA. Almost all of our dogs are rescued from high kill pounds and shelters in California. IF YOU ARE NOT IN OUR IMMEDIATE AREA, we would strongly encourage you to check the pounds, shelters, and rescue groups closer to you. There are literally thousands of dogs whose lives are in jeopardy in your own community. The dogs we have saved from death are only a few compared to the hundreds of thousands killed in this state every year. Our operation is absolutely no-kill. Therefore our fosters are never in jeopardy. Dogs at the pound do not have that luxery. They are generally killed shortly after arriving. Statistically, 30% of all animals at the pound are pure breed. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM A BREEDER OR PET STORE as these people profit off the lives of animals they create. Once the sale is made, the breeder or pet store has no interest in what happens to the lives they have sold. They sell these lives to line their pockets. They do not do it because they love the animals. If they did, they would rescue those already here and in harms way, instead of creating more lives to be put in jeopardy. For proof of this, go to ANY pound website and see how many hundreds of pure breed dogs are listed every year. Where are the breeders that profitted from selling them to begin with? They aren't there to save those about to be put to death. Breeders are at home breeding more animals for your dollars. Next time you talk to a breeder, ask them how many of "their breed" they rescue every year. For every life they create for profit, one less home is available for a dog, or cat, waiting at the pound to be saved. People think that dogs go to the pound because they are "bad dogs". There are no bad dogs. Just dogs with no training that had bad owners. Otherwise, why would people take their CATS to the pound? Simple. Bad owners.
